Thermal Insulation

Aarding has developed a unique Thermal Insulation system which can be adapted to any kind of turbine design and operational conditions. The desdign is based upon the floating plate system consisting of thermal insulation material covered with liner plate sheeting to protect the insulation. The sheeting is positioned at a distance (insulation thickness) from the ‘cold’ outer casing wall using studs, nuts and washers. These studs, nuts and washers enable free thermal expansion of the metal sheeting in relation to the casing wall. Materials for insulation wool, sheeting and fixation are selected in accordance with the client design criteria. The thermal insulation system can be delivered in export packages or completely installed on the ducting and casing.

The service consists of complete detailed  engineering, supply of insulation wool and prefabricated liner plates, studs, nuts and washers and installation instructions. Installation and /or Supervision is provided to ensure effective installation and operation.
