Commissioning Silencers

The Aarding commissioning type silencer is designed to reduce noise pollution caused by high pressure gasses rapidly venting to the atmosphere. This silencer is designed for usage in a commissioning / steam blow-down type of application with debris present within the pipe located upstream of the silencer. 

These temporary blowdown silencers are designed specifically for this rugged type of service. The inlet diffusers are arranged in side branch configuration so that any debris impacts at the manifold end (equipped with a substantial impact plate) rather then at the diffuser cap. The silencer inlet components are conservatively designed to withstand pressure loading, debris impact and free water impact.

As these type of silencers are mostly only used during temporary blowdown, Aarding Thermal Acoustics will offer these as rental silencers, with a possibility topurchase the silencer after the rental period.
